Meet Wild Heart Mindful Yoga

Hi, I'm Kate...

Yoga has been a backbone in my life for over 30 years.

I first came to yoga during a time when I needed support, and over the years my practice has helped me feel more grounded, more connected to my body and emotions, and more accepting of who I am. As my body and life have changed, so has my yoga. These days, I am drawn to slower, more mindful movement, breath-led practice, yin yoga and restorative rest.

My teaching is rooted in nourishment, steadiness and self-acceptance. In my classes, I offer space to move gently, breathe fully, soften deeply and reconnect with the wisdom of the body. Rest is a key part of what I share, whether that’s a long savasana at the end of class or a deeply held restorative practice in a seasonal retreat.

I am deeply inspired by the natural world, the changing seasons, the moon cycles and the Wheel of the Year. My background in shiatsu and Chinese medicine also informs my understanding of the body’s energy, rhythms and need for balance.

Now post-menopausal, I am especially passionate about supporting women through the menopause transition. For me, menopause can be a powerful threshold: a time to pause, listen deeply and ask, “What do I truly want now?”

Through Wild Heart, Mindful Yoga, I offer a warm and supportive space to slow down, come back to yourself, and move through life with greater ease, presence and connection.

My teaching is shaped by over 30 years of personal yoga practice, a 300-hour yoga teaching qualification with Bodhiyoga Mindfulness Yoga Teacher Training, and a deep love of nature, mindfulness and seasonal living.
